First off, I’m so sorry it’s been so long since I posted…I’ve been plagued with computer issues. The end result being me finally taking the computer into the shop for repair, where my computer expert ended up doing a “destructive recovery of my hard drive”, fun! Basically he wiped my hard drive, so I’ve been busy reinstalling all my software, etc. Just a reminder to everyone to do backups of your data. Luckily I did have a fairly recent backup (Phew!).
So the following are some of the things I’ve been working on in the studio lately.
I’m very surprised by it, but I seem to have entered into a soft / gestural phase….
This painting I’ve been working on for weeks. I keep telling myself I have to make some more marks on it so it can go somewhere, but after I paint anything, or glue anything down. I decide I hate it and paint over what I just did. Am I really doing a White Painting?! I think I just have to put it in the storage room for awhile and and start something new.
And the return of color!
